How the LiVAR Mini Can Sealing Machine Works with the 55 mm / #202 System
Understand the role of the LiVAR Mini Can Sealing Machine in the 55 mm / #202 PET CAN system, including compatible containers, lids, voltage options and validation steps.
The LiVAR Mini Can Sealing Machine is the dedicated machine for the LiVAR PET CAN 55 mm / #202 packaging family. Its role is to seal the compatible aluminum lid onto a matching PET CAN after filling. The container, lid and machine should therefore be treated as one system.
What containers and lids are compatible?
Current compatibility
- Container family
- LiVAR PET CAN products using the 55 mm / #202 neck
- Aluminum lids
- LiVAR EPE and SOT #202 lids
- Optional secondary cover
- LiVAR clear PET CAN cover after the primary aluminum seal, where required
- Voltage options
- 110 V or 220 V
- Colour options
- Black or White
What is the basic sealing workflow?
- Fill the compatible PET CAN using a process appropriate for the intended product.
- Position the matching #202 aluminum lid correctly on the container.
- Place the container under the sealing head.
- Start the sealing cycle.
- Inspect and validate the finished seam before commercial production.
LiVAR lists sealing speed as typically under one second per seal for the machine, but total production throughput also depends on filling, lid placement, handling, inspection and operator workflow. A machine-cycle figure should not be interpreted as a guaranteed complete line output.
Does the machine require a different base for each PET CAN height?
The current LiVAR specification states that no base or height adjustment is required for the compatible PET CAN family. Even so, the exact container and lid configuration should be confirmed before production, especially when changing SKUs or closure types.
What should be validated before commercial filling?
- Correct container and lid system match.
- Machine voltage and electrical suitability for the destination.
- Seam quality and repeatability.
- Leak resistance for the intended filling and handling process.
- Opening performance of the selected lid.
- Product-specific storage, transport and regulatory requirements.
Is the machine suitable for carbonated products?
The current LiVAR PET CAN product pages state that the PET CAN range is not suitable for carbonated beverages. Do not use the machine specification alone to infer pressure suitability of a container or finished package.
Why is system compatibility more important than appearance?
A lid can look physically similar while differing in geometry, liner, opening format or tooling requirement. LiVAR therefore identifies the system using the 55 mm / #202 reference so the buyer can connect the correct container, closure and sealing equipment.
