355 ml PET Can Guide: LiVAR Classic, #202 Lids and Sealing

LiVAR Classic is a 355 ml / 12 oz clear PET CAN in the 55 mm / #202 packaging family. It is one of the mid-size formats in the LiVAR range and uses the same system logic as the other #202 PET CAN products: compatible container, compatible aluminum lid and the dedicated Mini Can Sealing Machine.

Which lids fit the Classic 355 ml PET CAN?

The current Classic product page lists LiVAR EPE and SOT aluminum lids as compatible. Both belong to the #202 system. EPE is the lined aluminum format, while SOT is the stay-on-tab easy-open format. The selected lid should match the intended application and be validated on the finished package.

Which machine seals it?

LiVAR specifies the Mini Can Sealing Machine for the 55 mm / #202 PET CAN range. Current machine options include 110 V and 220 V and Black or White finishes. Voltage should be selected for the destination and confirmed in the quotation.

What is the clear plastic cover for?

LiVAR also lists a clear plastic PET CAN cover for the #202 family. It is a secondary cover for compatible post-opening or presentation use and does not replace the primary aluminum sealing lid.

Is Classic suitable for carbonated beverages?

No. The current LiVAR Classic product guidance states that the PET CAN is not suitable for carbonated beverages. Pressure suitability should never be inferred from the can-style appearance or aluminum lid.
